Life has always been like a heavily flowing river, constantly changing its courses, sometimes bringing smiles and sometimes tears. The only constant thing about life is "change". It's really very difficult to deal with it as no one likes change. Moreover when life changes suddenly and that too in a negative way, we often give up. No one can escape it. People die everyday and their loved ones are left to mourn the loss for their entire life. People get fired out everyday and have to learn to deal with their sudden financial losses and find a way to regain their security. Some people come too close to us and some leave us alone and move too far. Breakups and divorces happen all the time too. When life changes suddenly, we probably want to scream, shout, curse and plead with God. All we want for life is to go back to "normal". We would probably do anything to have that. But wallowing in our misery about it won't help. At some point, we all just need to remember that change is inevitable. How to deal with these changes is optional, so just make it positive. It feels like we are alone, but we are not. There are probably thousands or millions of people out there going through a similar experience right at this moment. Even if you had the most horrific things happen to you, there are people who have been through it and survived. It might feel like as if life will never be normal again. Well, it may never be the "old normal" but we will definitely learn to create a "new normal". Humans are enduring. We are built for survival, so the haze will eventually go away. May not as soon as we want but it will eventually disappear.
You might want to just never get out of your bed again. You might think your life is over. But guess what? It isn't. Life goes on. The world keeps turning. And if you check out around you, everyone else will just keep moving on. So you need to make the conscious choice to get out of bed, put one foot in front of the other, and keep walking through life. Don't give up. It's only a choice. It's not an easy one, but it's still your choice.
Beautiful.
